Sure, others like Bill Clinton were involved, but Trump is our fucking president because this is who we are. It's a bitter pill to swallow and I had to swallow that horse pill with no water. And I swallow it every single fucking day since 2015.
Tens of millions of our countrymen looked at Donald Trump and despite everything we know about him out in the open decided to vote for him again. That he could win a second time and win the popular vote at that means that this is who we are as a country.
Think about that for a second: 10 years of rising christo-fascism and we've done essentially zero to stop it. People are zombies, trapped, and beaten down by capitalism, getting their info from uninformed sources on social media, working two jobs to just exist. A handful of people get mad online about a logo and a company reverses course in days. Pretty soon a post will go viral. A user says that the ocean used to be blue, and the reply will be, "What's your source and what's an ocean?"
We did it to ourselves. We got fat, stupid, and addicted to social media dopamine hits, but not necessarily in that order. It doesn't really matter if you don't use social media, it's already too late.
I can't do anything about it, except maybe make a website to document and ridicule it.
